Getting Started
Learn how to integrate MeshQA into your workflow.
Quick Start
Install the CLI (Recommended)
The fastest way to get started is with our privacy-first CLI:
npm install -g @meshqa/cliNo account required for local validation. Your files never leave your machine.
Validate Your First Asset
Run a local scan with zero data transmission:
meshqa scan ./model.glb --localReview the Results
Check your health score, security scan results, and optimization recommendations. Use the feedback to improve your assets before shipping.
Optional: Create an Account
Sign up for a free account to unlock VirusTotal scanning, webhook notifications, report exports, and more.
Privacy-First Design
MeshQA's CLI runs entirely on your machine by default:
- Files never leave your machine in local mode
- Works completely offline
- Zero telemetry or usage tracking
- No account required for basic validation
Optional API mode enables enhanced features like VirusTotal scanning, cloud caching, and webhook notifications. See the CLI guide for details.

Understanding Health Scores
Each asset receives a health score from 0-100, calculated from four categories:
- Geometry (25 points) - Triangle optimization, vertex efficiency, mesh organization
- Textures (25 points) - Resolution, PBR maps, format modernity
- Optimization (25 points) - Compression, file size, polygon density
- Integrity (25 points) - Topology validation, format standards, structural quality
